Clarissa Rodriguez is a longtime friend of mine. She's sassy, sarcastic, extremely loyal, and really knows how to talk to people and put herself out there. Our connections are through a love for photography, but we have each found what we love to do. Clarissa's passion happens to be being a kick-ass Mary Kay lady.
She joined Mary Kay for the same reason I shoot boudoir: to empower women and make them feel beautiful (of course, a fondness for cosmetics is only a perk). She has been providing all the pearlies and glitters and powders to make women feel glamorous and amazing for many years now, but she is now moving into a Directorship and becoming an actual girl boss (she'll even get a car)!
Through being a director, Clarissa is accomplishing her goal of doing something more. Through striving to help women find strength and belief in themselves. By moving into this leadership position, she is able to build a team that will show more women that they can have more and that Mary Kay can be a vehicle to help them build their dream life. Therefore, it has become more about just selling makeup. She can do that AND help others develop an inspiring career like her own. From here on out, her goal is to recruit more women, reach more women, and show them that they deserve more.
She could be rolling in her career car by June 30th if she keeps on, hustles, and continues to inspire.
