Updates....and Introducing "Flirty Unicorn Boudoir Photography" - 7/29/16

Happy Friday, Unicorns!

I am definitely stoked to share some super important updates with you today, so let's cut to the chase and get right to it.

First of all, The Art of Darkness exhibition starts this weekend at the Banfill-Locke Arts Center in Fridley, Minnesota. I have two works in this awesome paranormal-themed art show, so if you are in Minneapolis anytime July 30th-August 27th please consider taking the time to check it out. You can find more information here.

I'm moving. I'm still going to be living in Madison, but in a different place. I'm anxious to call someplace home finally and have a great space in which to do my creative work. This all will be going down mid-August, so just as a heads-up, I may be inactive during that time. Thank you for your patience in advance. I'm really excited to have a place that Toby and I can call our own, and create some amazing work for The Singular Fortean Society and my brand.

Just a reminder, we are still booking for Queen for a Boudoir Day! There are still spots left, and you'll want to take the leap and claim one of these sessions for your own. This time around, the event is royalty-themed for the queens and princesses we will be serving. This means there will be props, refreshments, and gift bags fit for a queen. If your mind is coming up with any reason not to jump on this opportunity, do not hesitate to shoot me an email. It is completely natural and normal to feel nervous and anxious about Boudoir for any reason. However, I promise you that you will not regret the experience, and in fact, you will have such a good time and feel so great that you will forget what was holding you back. See you there, your majesty!

Lastly, I am undergoing some rebranding (sort of) come September 1st. I'm renaming the boudoir aspect of my creative business Flirty Unicorn Boudoir Photography. I thought some separation might be helpful in order to differentiate from any random creative commissions I might take on, and I think that this rebrand will also give me the opportunity to really run with the fun, colorful, unicorn-esque branding I was using for the boudoir side all along. There will be a new website, instagram, and Facebook page. These things always take time to grow, but I know between all of us that we will build a remarkable community to create beautiful, inspiring photography as well as a fun, empowering experience for women everywhere.

A Midsummer's Boudoir Day: Session #2 - 7/10/16

I try to keep the process split between both black-and-white and color when editing a boudoir session, but some women are so vibrant that they just belong in living color. This luminous lady had her session perfectly styled and accessorized. She had put a lot of thought into every look, since she wanted images that both she and her husband would love for a lifetime.  I had the honor of photographing their wedding, and it's been amazing to watch her blossom into the vivid vision she is today. There's clearly no stopping her now.

A Midsummer's Boudoir Day Sneak Peek: Session 2 - 7/10/16

Prospective "Unicorn" clients often ask me for wardrobe ideas. One classic look can easily be obtained by borrowing your significant other's button down shirt. It never goes out of style, and he'll be sure to blush at the exceptional sexiness of your boudoir photos. This lovely lady provides the perfect example of the contrast between masculine clothing and feminine beauty that makes this particular style so appealing.

A (Midsummer's) Boudoir Day SNEAK PEEK - 7/12/16

This past Sunday's A Midsummer's Boudoir Day was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen, and inspired confidence in some very amazing women. There's a lot of editing ahead of me, so while I catch up on things here is the first "sneak peek" from the event. Keep checking back, there are more photos coming your way.

Would you like to have a boudoir shoot? Our next event is August 28. Find out more information here.

The Al Ringling Mansion - 7/1/16

This Month, The Singular Fortean Society was given the opportunity to explore the Al Ringling Mansion in Baraboo, Wisconsin. It was a gorgeous building with amazing stories and a lot of unique history. Read about it here, check it out for yourself if you are ever in Baraboo, and enjoy my crop of images from this trip!
